An email titled “Spring 2024 Announcement – Expansion of Student Market Dining Offerings” was sent by the Office of Student Affairs to Official Students, Faculty, and Staff on the morning of January 16, 2024, approximately two weeks before students returned to campus from winter break.
The email shared the closure of Alice’s Restaurant in the Athenaeum and the expansion of the Student Market in Mary Fisher Hall. The changes were “based on student feedback and agreement by the Goucher Student Government Association.”
The last time Alice’s Restaurant closed its operations was due to the COVID-19 outbreak during Spring 2020. In Fall 2022, the restaurant reopened. Alice’s Restaurant was in full operation from Fall 2022 until the end of Fall 2023.
The Student Market has hot food from the grill, increased Pick 3 offerings, and more retail item options. As of the Spring 2024 semester, the Student Market hours are:
- Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Saturday-Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
The Mary Fisher Dining Hall hours remain as follows:
- Monday-Friday | Lunch: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. | Dinner: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday-Sunday | Brunch: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. | Dinner: 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
