On Friday, April 18th, Goucher’s Independent Music Club held a Bob Dylan Night, in which students and professors–including Kendall Kennison and Sarah Pinsker–alike gathered to honor the legacy of folk singer-songwriter Bob Dylan by covering songs from his discography. The musicians played a variety of instruments, including piano, guitar, trumpet, and ukulele, and sang Bob Dylan songs that ranged from well-known to obscure. They were joined by a small but enthusiastic crowd who waved phone flashlights and sang along to familiar lyrics. Various student-composed poems about Bob Dylan were also read in between sets. I had the privilege of performing in this show, as well as photographing the event with my crappy phone camera.
