Jani Thacker is a first year student from Owings Mills, Maryland who intends to double major in French and Political Science. They are passionate about prison reform and creating change within the American criminal justice system. They have recently joined the Radical Student Union, and are looking forward to different social justice opportunities on campus like the Goucher Prison Education Program. They’ve always been a lover of writing. Journalism is their favorite because it allows them to express their opinions and ideas to a wider audience.
